I'm in my husband's room right now. His last dose of meds at 956am and it's 630pm now. He's supposed to have his meds every six hours. And I'm going by what was written on his board in his room. He was supposed to have a pic line put in... 2 hours later and nothing. Too bad my husband wouldn't make it to another hospital. Now he has to suffer.

I went into the ER on Wednesday with severe abdominal pain. I was so impressed with the care I received! I was diagnosed with a kidney stone. I have NEVER experienced pain like that before! Hope was exceptional, knowing/seeing how uncomfortable I was, she had a sense of urgency to get me comfortable! Mark, my other nurse stayed on top of my pain and checked on me frequently. The care I received in the ER was above and beyond!

Out of all the hospitals I've stayed at, this by far has been the best experience I've ever had! I went in on 2/28 for stomach pains and turned into an unexpected surgery to remove my gallbladder. I was extremely scared with it being my first surgery but the whole time, I was reassured that everything will be fine and kept calm by everyone I met! The doctors, nurses, techs, radiologists and so on we're so informative, caring and made me feel like a top priority � I wish I could remember everyone's names, but i sure do remember their faces and I can't thank them enough for the care I was given! Definitely recommend and would go back!

I have never experienced such poor patient care in my life than at this facility. The rudeness and lack of compassion for the patients amazed me. I was seen on Dec. 3 for a sprained ankle. I hobbled in without a wheelchair and stood at the check in while the two girls were so consumed with their own lives they did not even offer me a wheelchair. Next, I was put in a room that had a recliner. It is now one am and I noticed there was open beds directly across from me. My friend went to go ask if they can move me to the room with a bed and we were told there is no nurse working that side so I have to stay in the chair. I was incredibly uncomfortable. Next it seemed like it was a big problem to ask for a blanket and pillow here to, so you may want to bring your own. This is just a little of my experience at this hospital, but I will never set foot in there again. That was my first trip there and my last.

Hat's off to all of the nurses and staff as they made my experiece there almost tolerable. The Doctors on the other hand either have their hands tied and can only do so much or just are lazy and do not care. They could not find out what was causing my severe pain that they hospitalized me for four days earlier and so decided they were going to discharge me (still in severe pain! Not moderate or mild pain but truly severe!) I am at home using my own pain medicine and a heating pad and that is just so I am able to be up for a bit. Everything else has become an extra in life such as eating, or wanting to visit with friends and family. The Doctors here told me they are not a trauma hospital and did all they can do diagnostically. I aske them if they would refer a better hospital and they said Mayo Clinic but when asked if I could just be transferred there the answer was I would have to get there on my own, in severe pain. Seems everyone has compasion at this hospital except the Doctors! One big question is that my problem was severe enough to admit and keep me for four days but still having the exact same problems with no changes didn't even cause a hesitation to discharging me. Does this make sense to anyone else?

Everyone was so attentive and great. My one nurse Debbie who was my day nurse man she was really really really sweet and then we had a the charge nurse his name was Jeff I believe he was a hoot he was great I mean everyone that took care of me I have no complaints whatsoever. I just can't remember all their names. My air conditioner went out in my room and they moved me to another one. I did not even have to ask. The chaplain came by and prayed with me he was really awesome. I knew I was in safe hands when I found out that Florida Hospital in DeLand is solely based on Christian values wow.

So far we have had a pretty good experience there fir my moms knee replacement. The pre surgery personal was amazing, and Norman from PT was awesome. I will say the food in cafeteria wasn't very good, so glad we were close to outside restaurants. The nursing staff on 2bd floor were nice and accommodating for the most part. It did take them a long time to bring meds and ice for her leg. But they wanted her to be moving right along. The bathroom light didn't work , maintenance came and fixed it , the next morning it wasn't working. The room was pretty nice. Thanks again

We took my 3 year old last night to have him checked out for pneumonia. We were in there and they did the x-rays and went back to a room we waited,About and hour later he came back said it was pneumonia so its bad and we need to give him 2 shots in his lower back upper bottom I said ok if he needs it to get better then let's do it. So we get home long story short we ended up today at arnald Palmer and turn out he didn't have pneumonia so they gave me meds that was not needed. My son has a bronchial virus that doesn't need medication to be treated but he's on a arbitrall for 2 days. So miss diagnosis and I will be taking him to Orlando from now on. But as for me I will go if I need too.

I wanna thank the icu nursing staff for the care of my mother and being there for me during this hard time my mother had a massive stroke and was put on a ventilator there was swelling on the brain and along with myself the nurses and doctors were determined to bring her out of her unresponsive state unfortunately the swelling got to be to much and I had to sign a dnr and put my mom on hospice and say goodbye the hardest thing ever but the nurses were very caring especially Shantel I think she should be nurse of the year thanks for trying your best to save my mom Florida hospital it didn't go unnoticed

The people I dealt with were very nice. But they drew the blood and then later on they found out that they couldn't send it that they didn't have what they needed to send it out. So now I have to go back two days later and have my blood drawn again and hopefully they'll get it right this time. Otherwise I probably would've given them a four stars.

Two visits here this week, both days I was directed in the wrong direction for my appts. sent here and there (by staff) not volunteers. You need people on that registration desk AT ALL TIMES that know the procedures. Yesterday I had a 11:30 procedure time and wasn't seen until 1:00. Then in recovery I was told that they don't have any thing good to eat and was given crackers....really? Oh and the nurse tried to put a BP cuff on my plainly marked left arm...the one that states " no BP, blood draw etc on this arm. You know the one in bright pink?! What if I was still asleep? Not a good place....I gave 3 stars because some of the nurses were very good and it was a clean facility.

My dad was brought in with a severe infection and admitted to the 2nd flood. Some of the staff are useless when it comes to patient care. They don't come when you call and when they do show up they don't follow up on what they say they will do for you. I had to ask twice in a 12 hour period for them to get a consult with his ID Dr. It took them almost 24 hours to get him the correct IV antibiotics. Won't be back here, ever!!!
