Ever since I got married I have been living in chaos. My husband got addicted after we were married and is unsafe to be around our kids. He is currently in jail and I am at a loss on what to do. I love my husband very much but I'm not sure he is capable of changing.

If you feel he is unsafe to be around your children and is currently in jail, I personally wouldnt allow him in the house untill he gets help and is clean for a while. I wouldnt say give up on him, people are always capable of change but definitly you should set some boundaries.

Addiction changes the brain in a permanent way and make overcoming the disease extremely difficult. The reality is you cant change him and no one else can either, your husband will need to change and battle his addiction on his own.
