I have been smoking Marijuana every day now for the past several months and although I don't think I have become addicted to it I just wanted to know how big a risk of addiction that I may be subjecting myself too.

If you are asking if there is a physical dependence, I would have to say no. I can however say that you could experience irritability. I dont think that makes you addicted, but maybe you just enjoy weed like some people do ice cream or puppies.

Out of all the drugs I have ever tried in my life I would think that Marijuana is the least harmful of them all. Now that does not mean I am saying it is safe and has no side effects. I am simply saying that I don't personally think there is much risk in the use of weed. Different people will have different experiences. For me weed was a non issue but for you this could be the thing that derails your life and sends you into a downward spiral eventually leaving you homeless begging for change outside your local walmart. Who is really to say ya know?

The being high symptoms make people feel great for a while, and i think that makes people feel like they want to smoke more pot, but I dont think your body goes through withdrawal symptoms like one would go through when they stop taking heroin or crack. So no I dont think you can be addicted.

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse Marijuana use can lead to the development of problem use Known as a marijuana use disorder, which takes the form of addiction in severe cases. Recent data suggest that 30 percent of those who use marijuana may have some degree of marijuana use disorder. To me this explains that you can become addicted to weed, but it doesnt sound like it is very common. I suspect only heavy users of this drug have a chance of becoming addicted.

if you go to findrehabcenters.org people come to not only ask questions like this and get multiple answers but you can get help learning about different drugs. I just read this question and thought it might be helpful to you. The answer reads as follows; does most of your money go to weed? If you have stopped socializing with anyone who does not smoke or cant get you weed, that shows you could have a problem. I think that if you are smoking pot all day, and using it as an excuse for your problems, or leaving events early or not arriving to them at all so that you have more time for smoking weed, then you may fit the addicted definition.
