My parents have always told me that if I smoked pot I would become a junkie or hardcore drug addict. I am 18 now and want to try pot for the first time, should I be worried about getting addicted?

If you smoke pot you do run the risk of becoming addicted yes.

Without doubt using or smoking pot is a gamble. There are many factors that come into play here but you could get addicted. Who knows you may not, let me ask you this: is it really worth it?
