Asked: 2017-12-20 17:49:41
I just took my last dose of suboxone and I want to be done. I’m so sick of the merry-go-round of feeling good and then getting sick again. I just want to be done with drugs for good. How long will withdrawals last for the Suboxone?

It really depends on how long you took it, and how much you were taking. Suboxone withdrawals aren’t supposed to be as bad as ones from methadone or other opioids. But, they still last for at least a week and you’re going to have the same kind of flu symptoms. Try exercising and drink lots of water to work it out of your system faster.

That’s actually right where you want to be to stop using drugs. It sounds like you finally understand how bad they were making your life and you’re doing something positive. Hopefully, you were getting Suboxone from a doctor to treat another addiction. If this is the case, asked the doctor about slowly lowering your dose so that you won’t have withdrawals that are as bad. If you’re determined to go cold turkey, you may end up with a lot of the same symptoms as heroin withdrawal for the first two weeks.
