I have a friend who claims that she is not addicted to drugs and alcohol because she thinks you cannot be addicted to more than one thing at a time. Is that true or can you be addicted to more than one thing at a time?

Drug and alcohol addiction can coincide or can occur independently. It is very possible for your friend to be addicted to both drugs and alcohol at the same time and need to seek independent treatment for each addiction to overcome them both.
