Been taking benzo’s pretty much for years now. Started as something prescribed and moved on from that. Must come off them now, my habit is just costing too much – physically, emotionally, financially. Does anyone have advice for withdrawal?

Flumazenil did it for me and then the doctor gave me buspirone. Don’t be ashamed to talk to your doctor – they got you on them in the first place!

Try to lower your dose gradually before coming off, so that the reaction won’t be so severe. You are looking at up to a month to withdraw properly and you’ll feel quite anxious all the time, so try to get something to help with that.
