I’m afraid that if my husband keeps drinking, it’s going to kill him. He’ll either have an accident or just drink himself to death. He’s agreed that if I help him, he’ll stop. What is involved?

Alcohol detox is what happens when you give up alcohol. Your body needs to get all of it out and try and get over the effects of this. Some people take benzodiazepines to help detox, which they taper off after a few days.
