I think my father’s drinking is out of control, every time I see him recently he has a drink in his hand. Does this make him an alcoholic? What else can I look out for?

It can affect people in different ways. Some people will get more withdrawn, whilst others use social occasions to mask their drinking. Is he drinking much more than other people? Is he drinking to get drunk? Is he covering up his problems with alcohol? These are all signs of alcoholism.
