I’m looking into ways to help my brother come off drugs, and one thing I’ve heard about is intervention, can someone explain to me what this is?

Staging an intervention is something that people do with addicts to make them see the results of their behavior and how their substance abuse has affected them and the people around them. It can be a very emotional experience, and hopefully the addict will them agree to seek help.

An intervention is basically a meeting held with an addict to try and get them to come off the substance they are addicted to. Usually it’s with family and friends who care about the person, and they tell them how they have changed or what is going on with them because of the problems caused by the addict since they started abusing the substance of choice.
