What makes someone an alcoholic? My friends jokingly tell me I’m an alcoholic but I’m starting to believe them. Should I be worried?

You may be an alcoholic if you’re an excessive drinker and your life has become unmanageable. But if you think you may have a problem you most likely do.

Alcoholism is a disease and if you use alcohol to try and self medicate you may be an alcoholic. Even though your friends are joking with you, alcoholism is serious and if you’re worried try an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting out!
