  5. Where do drug addicts go for help?
Asked: 2017-12-01 22:51:30
I am disheartened and depressed by the fact that I may be addicted to drugs. I don’t have many family or friends and I don’t know who to turn to.

Please don’t give up. There are resources out there to help you and get you on a better path. I’d recommend contacting the National Helpline provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). You can call 1-800-662-HELP (4357) any time, day or night, and they will help you find the resources you need.

I was in your shoes two years ago. I felt like I had nowhere to go and no one to talk to. Yet there is a better life out there for you, one where drugs don’t hold you captive. I would recommend contacting your local rehabilitation center as that would be the best place for you to go for help. You could also call the national helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357). That’s available 24/7, 365 days a year.
