I noticed that my aunt drinkings far to much for her body weight and age and has been doing this for over a decade I'm pretty sure, how can I help, I know she is an alcoholic.

Despite the issue your aunt may face if she stops drinking, offering her support and help with her alcoholism is a fine way to go. If she isnt having it.. try cutting her off from contact if you can of course and see if she musters up any willingness then.

What needs to be done is an intervention. If your aunt has been drinking for that long and your sure she is an alcoholic, you can help by intervening her with the family and I have to tell you I'm only able to recommend a professional intervention. I have tried a personal and a professional. The personally done intervention was a mess and caused more issues I feel and the professional one actually helped. Good luck!
