I’m so tired but there’s no way I’m going to sleep after all that went down. We need to do an intervention, how does it work?

An intervention should be planned out carefully after you have gotten some rest. While interventions can be family and friend run, they work best when there is a mental health professional also present to guide the addicted to treatment options.

First things first, you need rest. An intervention can be taxing both mentally and emotionally, and before beginning one you have to be well rested. An intervention essentially uses peer pressure by gathering those who are close to the person addicted and outlining the different ways the addiction has negatively impacted their relationships in hopes of them getting treatment.
