Can morphine make you hallucinate?

The problem is this, my mother is on morphine and going through chemo therapy for cancer, shes having halluicinations and having conversations with non-exsistent people. Aside from antibiotics, morphine is the only drug she is dosed with, it is causing these hallucinations or what?

I have to say it is weird to think that morphine would cause hallucinations too that degree. That is a scary thought. But I read about something morphine making someone hallucinate then the hallucinations subsided as soon as the morphine was no long being used. I wouldnt worry to much about it, the morphine could be causing it and if your seriously that worried you should bring it up to the doctor in charge of her pain managmemt.
