I discovered ecstasy a few years back and realized it had the strength to make me an extorverted fireball. The drug took away my insecurities and shyness. I made friends and began partying alot. Over the last year or so Ive been at a point where I need to be using drugs like ecstacy every time I go out to a social event or gathering. Cant imagine living life with out some type of stiumlating recreational drug.. this must mean im addicted.

The issue I had with ecstasy and similar substances is that I abused them to change my perception of myself and the world. In other words to change the way I thought about everything and the way I felt about pratically everything. On top of all that I was not able to make rational or responsible decisions and I was so delusional I didnt know I was being irresponsible and irrational all the time.

I read that yes it is possible to get addicted to ecstasy. Not that everyone who takes it will become addicted, but there are certain factors that can increase the likelihood of addiction like genetic predisposition, certain brain characteristics that can make someone more vulnerable to addictive substances than the average person, psychological factors, environmental influences, or starting any drug use at an early age.

Sure ecstasy can be addictive but some of us only take it when we are partying and its no big deal. I dont know any of us weekend users being addicted, we just take it every now and then to have some fun.

yes ecstasy like any other drug can be addictive. I wouldnt suggest anyone using any drug in any manner other than prescribed by a doctor but you can still get addicted even under a doctors care so be careful.

I found out the hard way that my son was addicted to ecstasy. When my husband suggested that was what was up with our son. I didnt believe him until I found this article that explains the signs of drug us in teens. I just thought he was stressed out. but with the sudden changes of interest he was quitting soccer to hang out at the library with these new friends he just made. And his friend Josh just disappeared like overnight. It all made sense after I read this.

When I was using drugs I would take ecstacy or molly, aka MDMA and have an amazing time. However afterwards I would have a terrible depressing come down that lasted a couple weeks sometimes. I hated the come down off of the high but I was addicted and when addicted people easily forget about the bad times or pain they had from taking the drug. Only remebering what they felt like on it, thus taking more and more frequently. Thats what happened to me anyway.
