Is binge drinking alcoholism?

Okay so my friend thinks that because she binge drinks it doesn’t make her an alcoholic, but I think if she is getting drunk she is. Does anybody know the answer

Just because she is binge drinking doesn’t mean she is an alcoholic or leading to it. Not being able to control your drinking, drinking till you blackout things like that make you an alcoholic.
