  5. What does drug withdrawal feel like?

I’ve been using cocaine more and more, and now I worry I may be addicted. I feel really weird when I don’t use it for a few days. Is that what withdrawal is?

Yes, if you feel physical and mental effects when you’re not using the drug, your body has become addicted. When you don’t use cocaine, you may experience uncomfortable symptoms like runny nose, fever, insomnia, nausea and cramps. If you continue to feel the need to use cocaine, you should consult professional help.

Cocaine addiction can sneak up on you fast and furiously. If you feel sick and uncomfortable when you’re not under the influence of cocaine, you may very well be suffering withdrawals from the drug. It doesn’t take much for your body to become addicted to cocaine, and if you feel sick to your stomach and feverish when you’re not on the drug, then you have developed an addiction that needs to be addressed.
