I heard a girl in my shelter saying that she’s going to go cold turkey again. What is she talking about?

She’s talking about quitting drugs without any medical assistance. Some people do this and they go into withdrawal quite quickly.

She’s going to give something up without any help. Probably drugs, she means that she’s not going to find any medical replacement or help to come off them.
