What eases withdrawal symptoms from opiates?

I soon will be going through opiate withdrawal by choice, I need to get my life together, can someone tell me what will help ease my symptoms?

Methadone has for sure helped me, I could’t imagine going at withdrawal without it.

I have preferred not to take drugs to get off drugs so I have gone with Imodium hot baths ibuprofen and time. It may not be the easiest way to go, but I didn’t want to do methadone.
