If you're looking to help someone going through opiate withdrawal using home remedies, then there are some techniques you can use. For example, weaning them off the opiates over time rather than all at once can help with some of the symptoms and side effects. Drinking hydrating fluids and fluids with electrolytes, like Pedialyte or Gatorade, may also help.

If your husband has also been sleepy for a few days, with twitching muscles in his legs and arms as well as the nausea, then yes it may be opiate withdrawal. What helps opiate withdrawal is different rehab programs. There they monitor the symptoms, and use techniques such as nutritional supplements, and physical approaches known as "assists" to help the person relax while going through withdrawal.
