I overheard my parents talking last night about my uncle Kevin and saying that he’s an alcoholic. What does this mean?

If someone is drinking a lot, they sometimes become alcoholics. This doesn’t happen to everyone but it can be dangerous. If your parents are talking about your uncle drinking too much then they will try to help him stop drinking, or maybe get someone else to help.
