I don’t know how long my Mom has been drinking, but everyday when I come home from school she has a drink in hand and I worry she could be an alcoholic. Can someone tell me what makes a person an alcoholic?

If your Mom gets shaky or gets easily agitated when they haven’t had a drink, that is a pretty good symptom of alcoholism. It sounds like it’s time have Mom checked out by a dr that can make that decision.

I think its different for each person, there is no tall tell sign that someone is or isn’t an alcoholic but a good indicator, is if a person needs to drink, if they can’t live without it.
