When are you an alcoholic?

I have been a social drinker for over 20 years. I know my tolerance has gone up and I like a drink but I’m growing a little concerned that my drinking is becoming a problem. How do you know when you’re an alcoholic?

If you think that your drinking is a problem, then it probably is. Are you often thinking about where your next drink is coming from, or when you’re going to get it. If you’re more tired or irritable than usual, these are other signs, coupled with heavy drinking.
