My mom is really annoyed cos she found out my live-in boyfriend smokes weed. She claims it’s addictive, but he says he’s not addicted. What makes weed addictive?

It’s more the psychological than the physical with weed. He may feel like you need more to get the same feeling as you did before. He may feel like you need to get high to deal with certain things, that can be classed as dependence, which leads to addiction.
