My brother is alcoholic, is there any chance he will ever stop…

To cease drinking in full-blown alcoholism seems impossible and undesired by those suffering from the disease. Eventhough, the disease leaves 0 room for choice - if an alcoholic has had enough he or she may stop on his or her own.

All alcoholics stop drinking eventually, all of them. Alcoholics can stop the act of drinking on occasion but they cant stop the urges to drink.
