Can you overdose on dextromethorphan

My little cousin came to live with us after his mother passed away about four months back. Since he has been with us, I have noticed bottles of cough syrup that contain dextromethorphan in the ingredients have started to go missing. I worry about the little guy being suicidal after everything that happened with his mom. Could he be stealing and and taking the whole thing to blot everything out that he is feeling or could he be trying to overdose or something on it.. is this something that is possible? Could he overdose on the dextromethorphan stuff in the cough syrup?

Dextromethorphan contains a type of tylenol and supposedly b/c of this, an overdose is likely to happen called acetaminophen toxicity.
