What are the dangers of drug abuse?

I don’t really see what the big deal is, if people want to abuse drugs. Why stop them, I don’t really see the danger in. Is harm in drug abuse?

If you had a family or friend effected by drug abuse i’m sure you would not being asking. I’ve lost a mother to a tar heroin. She died from her abuse. Not just that but she destroyed her family in the process. Her veins were shot, she was mean, she stole from her family, all from drug abuse. So ya, there is harm in drug abuse.
