Have you looked up the alcoholic definition? If you do a bit of research, you can find several things that make alcohol addictive. Alcohol relaxes you, and helps you open up a bit. I makes you feel like you can do things you wouldnt normally do. But it also effects the brain, sometimes making it think it cant live without it.

Being around friends, listening to music, and drinking are pretty addicting. It all just makes you feel good. Makes your problems go away.

So we all know that alcohol just makes you feel good. It gives you guts you may not have had before, and helps you relax, but the really addictive part of alcohol according to says drinking alcohol causes the release of naturally occurring feel good opioids known as endorphins in two key brain regions associated with reward processing.

It certainly isnt the alcohol withdrawal. I still have a headache from drinking with the guys last night. Alcohol abuse is no joke my friend. If you must drink make sure you are responsible about it. It isnt like caffeine, the consequences are real.

Sometimes people forget that genetics play a role in alcoholism. as stated There is strong evidence that alcoholism has a component thats linked to our genes. Certain hereditary traits coincide with alcoholism. My Mom always told me that drinking was hereditary. I guess I never really believed her. But she was an alcoholic, my sisters are alcoholics, and im beginning to think I may be an alcoholic. This article helped me to understand why it is possible that alcohol is passed down through family members.
