Why is heroin addictive?

I have heard that heroin is super addictive. What makes it so addictive, not that i’m going to try it or anything, I am just curious

Stay away from heroin, that stuff it real dangerous, I wouldn’t wish an addiction like that on my worst enemy.

Heroin is a modified version of morphine, when ingested it converts back into morphine, this eventually triggers the release of dopamine, creating the pleasurable feeling. This is creating new addicts every day.
