What does having an addictive personality mean?

My Dad has always said to me that I’ve an addictive personality. Sometimes I can kind of see what she’s talking about, but what does it mean for me, as I go on in life?

It’s really a collection of traits that people who get addicted to stuff seem to have. If you like to take risks, live outside the lines a bit and have compulsive tendencies then you are more likely to develop dependencies on certain substances.
