This place is a nightmare. Your mixed in with crazy people. They take away your cell phone cigarettes shoes wallet and strip you of everything to ensure you cant leave. The food is lousy and they keep the place freezing cold. Its locked down like a prison also and theres nothing to do at all. They call crackers a snack and present it like theyre doing you a great favor. If you have a family emergency like i did. They will not release you. I voluntarily went there for detox. Granted they will sedate you to some degree. But your still fully aware of your predicament. This is the worst most inhospitable place ive ever been.

The workers need training on how to work with and respect people with emotional and mental disabilities. They are always rude and unprofessional, especially at the front desk. You can never get anyone to answer the phone when calling to make an appointment. They cancel appointments at the last minute and then can only reschedule a month or two later. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It's a dump!

Been here twice. The first time I walk in and stand at the front desk for 5 minutes while the 2 receptionists totally ignore me while having a personal conversation. I had an appointment today...same thing Im standing there and I finally ask if I have to check in and they both give me dirty looks like I'm interrupting their conversation while they sitting there on their fat asses scarfing down their breakfast. Before this appt today, , My daughter had ran out of medication and I was transferred to their "medication line" I left 2 messages and it took them a week to get back to me to get it filled. So today my appt at The CHILRENS CENTER in New Port Richey (King Helie Blvd) office. Same thing....i stand there for 5 minutes while they eat and talk. And act like I'M inconveniencing them by asking a question. They are very cold and uninviting. As soon as you walk in, you can feel it. Sorry but if you dont like your job ..go work somewhere else. Mary Ellen and Mirabelle or whatever her name is. You're basically a number at this place...no personalized care or friendliness whatsoever. This was my LAST appointment I will never go back. Sorry but there are plenty of doctors everywhere and lots of options to choose from..you DO NOT have to settle with an office that sucks. I work in the healthcare industry and this place is a Joke. If I treated ppl the way these ppl treat patients I would be out of a job. Obviously this place needs a major overhaul. They should start with their fat ass receptionists who should be told to eat in the break room and not at the front desk talking to people with a mouthful of food. This place is disgusting. Pasco' s finest obviously!

I have had bad and good experience working with them, as with all therapy you get what you give. When I was not ready for therapy felt I didn't need it I felt dismissed ( I wasn't following directions for therapy or meds) when I was ready I have had excellent treatment. Don and Sasha are awesome.

I was charged $6402.00 for an ER visit that consisted of getting my blood taken, an EKG, 2 min talking to a doc, my vitals taken and no other actual medical treatment being done. My insurance paid $3681.13 for this - even that amount is insane for nothing actually being done - and left me with a 3k tab. I have already paid the individual doctor & lab bills - how they arrived at this $6402 charge is a mystery. I was stuck in a room for 2 hours, and left to actually pry the ekg stickies off myself and walked out after just being left there.

Morton Plant, you have a good heart but your priorities are screwed up. For a not-for-profit health system, you’re too busy giving us fancy TVs with computers while the call lights aren’t even usable. I wish your administratorshad to lay cluelessly in one of these beds after open heart surgery to figure out how terrible they are. Can you hit a button on the side of a mattress? Not only is it incredibly cumbersome to use the bed rails, the fancy call light on the bed rail doesn’t call the nurse. You care about infection rates but what about post op falls due to your blatant disregard of safety? Not only was I not given the proper equipment to call the staff, but not ONE time was I ever offered or given a full size blanket. You’d think I’d have everything I needed while being visited by PT. And OT. And respiratory therapy. And X-ray. And EKG. And housekeeping. I was never given a menu or a telephone until my fourth day here and wasn’t always in the mood to order a meal. That’s hard to do after open heart surgery. Good thing my nutrition isn’t important and food can come inconsistently after open heart surgery, right?! It is embarrassing and alarming that a NOT FOR PROFIT Health care system can “arrange” for a Publix to deliver my discharge meds to me (which I never heard from like your prompts suggest), but at the same time make low staffed night shift get patients up for weights and other duties when there are literally other DOZENS of care teams. PT? OT? Why don’t you freeze your post surgical butt off with an unusable call lights and only bath blankets. Your priorities are messed up, Morton plant. Thank you for your amazing care and sugery team, thanks for the Starbucks and required valet parking, and thank you for your long time feigned ignorance on an absolutely vital call lights for safety. There are literally zero excuses for these oversights.

first I have to say some of your staff at winter haven hospital was great but your ER doctor has a lossy bed side manor didn't even listen to my concerns then excused me of making my symptom's up he said nothing was wrong with me then he still admitted me this was on 112/2018 around 5:30 pm then I was put in room 160 bed 2 on Tuesday 11/6/ 2018 ask my day nurse a ? she said will be back with answer 1 hour and a half went buy didn't see her or got my answer rang for nurse again tech came in asked same ? she said she would find out another 1/2 hour went buy didn't see her and got no answer rang a third another nurse who wasn't my nurse came finally got my answer. Then at shift change my nurse never came with night nurse to give bed side report so I guess I wasn't a important patient for this resone I will never come to winter haven hospital again

I went to Bartow emergency and was transferred to Lakeland. in the two hours I spent at Bartow I received more information than the two weeks I was in & out of Lakeland regional. Bartow is one of the best they truly care if you ever been to Lakeland regional you can tell the difference immediately, they don’t seem to care it’s just a job and don’t explain anything. I only wish Bartow was bigger to do more procedures so I can avoid Lakeland altogether. Keep up the fantastic work everyone at Bartow Are friendly caring and great

Gave us a 50% discount because we are self pay. They then came back for 10% because I paid the bill off a week late. They will not honor the fact that I paid over $5,000.00 and refuse to waive the additional 10%. Money grubbing thieves! Every other medical bill honored the full discount even though some were a week or 2 late. That is called understanding and common decency. Over $20,000.00 out of pocket for my wife to have 2 emergency room visits. And that was at a discounted rate!!

The worse hospital EVER i went with my daugther shes is almost due date and they let her be on the lobby with hard pain and no one came to see her until after 3 hours waiting and know she felt bad again and they give her excuses about the bed is not ready for almost 2 hours how can that be if she whass on labor they let her have the baby on the lobby so rude and negligent staf they have in here i dont recomend it to no pregnant women in the WINTER HAVEN WOMENS HOSPITAL

I went in to the New Port Richey location on US19 today with my 11 month old because of intense chest pains. The physicians assistant (who was completely unempathetic, and quite frankly rude) told me they’d check it out with an EKG and blood work.... until they found out I dont have insurance. I asked if the could bill me because I DO have medically needy assistance, and they literally looked at me, took the gloves off, and said “we can’t do anything for you here.” And then asked me to sign a document stating that I had been treated.
