Do not go here. This is the worst place and nightmare you could ever walk into. I paid cash and it was expensive. The second day my counselor went on vacation and I didn’t get any booklets or anything for days. I asked when the gentleman who was my counselor was going to come back in and they said he is on vacation they guess when he gets back I can talk to them. Gets back??? I pay cash so who is my counselor now? I was told they didn’t know. So I was paying for days for nothing... Then some staff guy kept putting bananas stickers like a kid on the back of my shirt when I was transitioning to sobriety. Last thing I’ll mention (not the final adversity) I complete their program and was told they refuse to give me a certificate, or written statement, or anything that says I completed their program successfully. WTF??? I paid a grand just to walk in, and the hundred a day and all that bs is what I get? DO NOT GO TO THIS TREATMENT... YOU WERE WARNED

The staff is caring enough, as is the program, but they totally dropped the ball with me. They got me re-chemically dependant on Suboxone as an assisted therapy, did NOT provide me with an appointment the week before I left to see the provider, and even went so far as to tell me I HAD a refill at the pharmacy. The day I left all meds were delivered aside from my Suboxone. I finally found contact info for their pharmacy. When I called they told me there WAS NO REFILL. They provided me an appointment to follow up with the provider weeks after my discharge; that would have been fine; IF they provided the medication they lied about. I literally just got off the phone with the rehab, and big suprise here, they can't do anything at all I'm in withdrawal, and I won't lie: I'm going to relapse in order to make it quit. I wanted off these things, they talked me into staying on and then left me high and dry. If you really want recovery, look else where. You won't find it here. Or you might. But, why would you risk it like that?

Great things: They accept Medicaid,Private insurance,cash,and I think, Medicare. To the facilitators ( u out have classes 7 days a week) are fantastic: humourous without judgements. Most are very understanding and great listeners and teachers. Good things: Each client has a care coordinator,most are timely about one's request.Bad things: most other staff are judgemental and two-faced. Also,between the two buildings (housing and school) the communication stinks! You often have to check into then reiterate your needs. Worse thing: the ''Christian' facilatator ,on the weekend and in the blue room, is very judgemental,in my opinion. Hope this helps! Good luck and give your addiction and your negative thoughts and behaviors to a Higher Power! After all,they come hand in hand.

This place is a joke. The don't let you see a doctor for weeks. So if you are a heroin addict you won't get your Suboxone until you are already detoxed. If you are an alcoholic or quitting benzos, you are endangering your life. Unlike heroin withdraw, alcohol and benzos withdraw can kill you. The "classes" you sit in all day are taught by unqualified people who have no idea what they are talking about. If you are a first-timer, you will be misinformed and learn nothing about your disease.They teach nothing about the twelve steps and don't have any AA/NA literature, which I personally believe works as it kept me sober for eight years. Don't take a cellphone as they dispose of them. They don't inform you that they only have pay phones and you need a calling card or call someone with a land line. They have federal prisoners housed with everyone else. Most everyone there has been sent there by their P.O., so they have to go and don't want to be there. The first day I was there, I was approached about buying four different drugs. Theft is a big issue. If you're serious about getting help, please choose another facility. I would recommend Bridgeway in St. Charles. Their staff is well informed and a lot of them are recovering addicts, so they are easy to talk to and genuinely want you to succeed. Remember, there is life after heroin. If I can quit, so can you. You don't have to live in hell, life is good. Please don't let it kill you, there are people who love you and they will be devastated, as I am after losing the love of my life.

My daughter is currently a patient there and has complained of abuse by other patients. Her legs are extremely swollen that anyone can see there is a serious medical condition and she was taken to the hospital that treated her as if she was seeking drugs. I fear for her safety and her health but right now I'm not sure where to move her as she is on Medicaid and waiting lists are so long. I'll be making phones calls Monday.

I sent my wife here for inpatient care and they put criminal offenders in a room and classes with people who merely have a drinking problem. The repeat offenders are criminals who were previously in jail and have a history of drug abuse and alcoholic abuse, usually brought here from St. Louis. These people have a choice of jail or rehab. My wife was verbally abused by a black woman and several other white woman who continued to harass her in a dorm room . This room was set up for non criminals who volunteered for the program yet since the rehab was overcrowded my wife was forced to stay in a room full of foul mouthed criminals who abused her just because she was not a criminal as they were. She only stayed one night and has not received any help since none is available unless you are rich or a criminal.
