I found there to be a complete lack of communication. My dad went in as a walking Alzheimer’s patient and came out slumped in a wheelchair and heavily medicated. We are desperately trying to get him back to baseline but at 93 time is not on our side.

As the Executive Director of a Memory Care Community, I encounter a lot of difficult behaviors from my residents that they unfortunately cannot help due to their brain injuries or the unfortunate effects of the dementia disease they have. I was so blessed on a day that my community was experiencing a very difficult time with one of our residents whom needed a little extra help for his mental state at that time that we could not further manage in our community for him. My Director of Nursing contacted WellBridge and told them our situation, WellBridge quickly got the information they needed, quickly sent over Yin to assess our resident, he was accepted and transportation was there to pick him up immediately. The process was made so smoothly, Yin was so compassionate as she spoke to our resident who was in a crisis at the time, she kept us informed minute by minute, we really appreciated how she handled the situation. Not only were we please with the admission process but also how immediately the doctor contacted the family to keep them informed with their plan of action and it was followed through. The family was very pleased on the care that their loved one received while in their care and so were we.

Run in the opposite direction. I had a relative try that place for alcohol recovery. He was treated poorly except for one nurse. The doctor and nurse manager lied to him. He thought they may be putting something in the food because he had diarrhea while he was there as well as most of all the other patients. Many were defecating on themselves and waiting to be cleaned up. This place is definitely not good for alcohol recovery if you want a nice calm and comfortable place to get counseling and reflect on how you can move forward. Perhaps the other recent review I see who gave them four stars was in a different area because it definitely wasn't where my relative was at.

I was there for a month. The food was reasonably good but they need to pay more attention about the medication given to all the Patient by Nurses. They must be told about the Medication given to them & what purpose & if there is any side effects. They need to keep Eye on the Nurse #Gina who had bad habit of not giving Seizure Medication to actual Patient by name Thomas who was cross the room from me & giving Seizures medication to me intentionally to damage my Brain. That's too cheap & below Human dignity. Also when they release the patients for Group Homes to make sure that each person must be given 120 to 150 Sq.Ft. area room & if the room is around 300 Sq.Ft than only 2 people allowed to share the room. Also each tenant must be given a key so he can go in or out as he chooses.Some of these Group Homes owners specially Angel Homes where I was,are only interested to jam as many persons they can to make more profit & don't give a damn about how these people going to live in their rooms without any fan, TV or Microwave in their room. The group homes must feel much better than Motel room. Please look into these matter very seriously. I end paying $300 for a 4 days & than I left. N.Mirani

I have a good friend in there, since she went in about 10 days ago she has been over medicated to the point of barely being able to talk, the medication makes her mouth dry out terribly and her pupils are the size of pinheads. She can now barely hold a conversation. She did not have these issues 2 weeks ago before she went there. I went to visit multiple times, each time I went in their policies seemed to change, nothing is in writing, it all depends on who you talk to, one employee will tell you the other employee is wrong. Very few visitors there, now I can see why, people just give up. Do not put your loved ones in here.

I'm glad to read about the success of many of the reviewers. I cannot say that my dad had the same results. He has advanced Alzheimer's and went to the hospital to find a treatment plan that would help his anxiety and restlessness. When he left the memory care facility where he was living the was walking with a walker, communicating and eating regular food. When he came back he was slumped in a wheelchair and barely awake. He is eating pureed food and is extremely lethargic. It is painfully obvious that he is overmedicated. I was only told of one medication change but when he came back he had 5 or 6 additional scrips. I would say my biggest complaint is the total lack of communication. I had asked to be informed of all treatment plans and medication changes. I wasn't. I am so hurt because I feel like what is left of his life has been ruined. At 93 we don't have a big window to try to get back to baseline.

This facility was a life saver for my 95 year old father. Once he finally agreed to go to a hospital we had very little time before he would likely change his mind. We needed a lock-down, geriatric facility to keep him safe. I called the hospital, spoke with Whitney, explained the situation and told them he was on the way there. Whitney did a great job, met him in the lobby, calmed him down, and took him back immediately to admitting. He was there about 3 weeks, diagnosed with dementia, and given the appropriate psychotropic meds to help control his disease. During that time we met with the Dr. twice, had numerous family meetings with Julie and Denise (really great therapists) and held a discharge meeting with family and with my father to explain expectations on all sides and how he can keep from having to come back. I guess no one wants to ever be in this type of facility which may explain some of the very negative reviews. Overall, I was pleased with the process and the outcome.

As a Dallas fire fighter and Paramedic I can tell you that this facility is as bad as it gets. I visit hospitals for a living so feel like I understand the goods, the averages and the bads. This is bad. If you are thinking about this facility for a loved one ask to see a patient room. Ask to see a treatment area. When the staff refuse and tell you its against policy you can either take their word for it or question what is going on behind closed doors. Ask questions. When you don't get answers or get answers that don't add up form your own opinion.

Worst hospital, do not communicate to families, worst attitude, just want the money, patient's are loaded with medications, they become zombies there. Please do not send your loved ones there.

Rude staff, never talked to the doctor there, minting money is the moral for this hospital, they don't tell us how long our loved one will stay or what will happen, they keep you for more then 3-4 weeks with no results, it's a joke and Medicare Fraud hospital. I will never recommend this hospital to anyone.

My sister went into this facility with dementia and came out a zombie. It is such a Medicare scam don't take your love one there. We are still trying to get her back near where she was after 5 weeks. She is only 65 years old.

Think....the movie...Snake pit. I have worked in psych hospitals but this place has horrile charting and only 1 staff member sitting in the common areas with them. . Its next to impossible to follow what was given and where it was written. That is, IF you can obtain any records what so ever. How can i take the patient for a followup when i cannot tell them what they were given??? In addition, they abruptly stopped meds she had been on for years. She went in working out, dancing and singing with sundowning aggression (early alzheimers). She had infections which often cause aggresion. Rather than treating her 1st, and perhaps helping her with haldol, etc, they took every medication away and began giving her psychotropic drugs in mass quantity. When she was discharged 3 weeks later her teeth were black and she shuffled . She drooled in the car and has since. She was not incontinent on arrival but 21 days later she defecated in public. Twice. She has tears almost continuously and has zero sense of self, time or place. I have to now say....listen to me. Look at me. Just to break whatever trance she is in. The doctors have yet to communicate with her doctors and it took me 2 weeks to find out what they gave her while there. TWO weeks. Her diagnosis showed a history of diseases she has never had. No labs but also listed multiple infections. No chest xrays. No urine test followups. It has been a NIGHTMARE. A cruel horrible nightmare that we are still digging out of. We pray there is no permanent damage. Run from this place.

Wellbridge is a bad place! Do not send anybody there, there is no oversight and it’s a very risky drug induced environment! Stay out of Wellbridge,

I have called several times and it rang 40 times before someone answered! Asked why it took so long and if there was a problem and was told very nonchalantly no nothing was wrong !!! This is an ongoing problem there. Have trouble understanding when the finally do answer me.

This place is absolutely horrible! Do NOT put your loved one here. I don’t usually write negative reviews on anyone or a place of business, but our experience warranted it and I want to warn anyone of going through what we did. My aunt came out worse than how she went in! Basically in a vegetative state! The staff is TOTALLY incompetent, the supervisors and doctors give you lip service and not much better! We just removed our loved one out of there. This facility should be shut down. Our family will be reporting this facility to the state board! I will work endlessly to make sure that they lose their license to operate this facility, as people’s loved ones deserve better! I had to hit 1 Star in order to send my review. By no means do that get any stars!

Not just NO, BUT HELL NO! Patient families need to band together to get this place shut down. Not being able to visit patients gives them the freedom to tell us whatever they want us to hear. Management would never provide information, voice messages went unanswered, and any information seemed to be a broken record. Although he had Alzheimer's, when my husband entered for medication evaluation he was walking, even dancing, and had some pleasure in life. Yes, he needed a lot of attention due to his disease but you'd think a place like this could deal with that. No visiting was allowed but I was told a code would be provided so I could call for information. He was there for two weeks and the code was never given. His method of discharge was on a stretcher to an ER with out of control electrolytes and all blood values off the chart. His weight had dropped at least 20 pounds so I know they weren't making sure he received nutrition and fluids. He died 1 week later. I was absolutely appalled at the lack of hygiene when I saw him in the ER. His face was dirty, hands and nails looked like he'd been working on a car for days on end, one hand was swollen and scratched with no explanation given, large abrasions on his legs, and his teeth were absolutely brown. There had obviously been no hygiene attention given to him on a regular basis if at all. And he showed up wearing someone else's clothes. I've never received the clothes that accompanied him on admission. I'll kick myself for the rest of my life for allowing him to experience the horrors of that place. Families need to unite to either get changes made or have the place shut down. No one should go through what we experienced. NO ONE!

Spoke with the admissions agents on a few occasions to see if this would be a good fit for my mother, suffering from geriatric depression. She was not eating or changing or showering prior to her admission, and they stated they would help with all the above, including manage her medication, especially her antidepressants. All she would drink was a high calorie protein drink, 3-4 times per day prior to admission, so she had some calories and minimal nutrition in her current state of depression. Walked in on her own ability and while not in great health, was not how she was upon discharge 6 days later. Took a chance they could help her and admitted her last Thursday (19th), at 1pm. She was changed into hospital gowns(2) and sent back. We were told we would be able to call several times per day to speak with her, and that a doctor would call us back within 24 hrs to give us an assessment and evaluation with a plan for treatment. 90% of the time we called to speak with her, there was no answer. 6 days later with verbal assurances from Shanti Carter(CEO) and Ashley(DON) that she had eaten about 75% of her dinner on Monday evening, had showered and changed her gown to clean ones, we had a video call with her, coordinated by her social worker/advocate, Meosha Tye, we saw the terrible condition she was in, weak, barely able to keep her eyes open or head up any longer, could barely talk, and according to Meosha, had in fact not bathed or changed since she was admitted. Took her out of the hospital and taken directly to an ER, where we were told she was suffering from dehydration, malnutrition, urinary tract infection and hyperchloremic metabolic acidosis. She has been given several IV fluids, antibiotics and waiting for some treatment for the acidosis. Wellbridge is terrible, Shanti and Ashley are no honest or worse, do not care about patients enough to even meet and assess before calling me to give me an update. They flat out lied! Have already filed a complaint with the Texas Department of HHS. Do not take anyone here, there has to be alternatives that treat their patients, not ignore them. Some of the nurses seemed to actually care, but doctors and administrators are pathetic and should reevaluate their career choices.

My husband was sent there by nursing home to get meds correct.He had dementia .He was walking and nursing home couldn’t keep him in bed or in his room so I believe that’s why he was sent there.He came out couldn’t walk had 2 black eyes stitches on forehead.his entire face was black and blue.They said he fell.This was during Covid so when he got back to nursing home I could only take to him thru a window.He was a horrible sites to see.And that was two weeks after the so called fall.I ask the nursing what happen to him.She said she didn’t know he came back that way.We took my husband home after this.again he went in walking better than me.he came out in wheel chair.After we got him settled at home he told us a orderly at WBridge beat him up.I filed a complaint.I took pictures of his injured face.Worse place ever
