Providers don’t call back to let you know they won’t take you on as a patient. And when providers leave they expect you to wait the 6 months to see a nurse practitioner. Been going to CHI and WAS impressed at one time. Leaving because they can’t even take care of their current patients.

Some of the most incompetent staff I've ever seen at a healthcare facility. My pcp is also at Lakeside and their office is amazing! I don't understand why the psychiatric office is so awful. There have been at least 3 occasions where they have dropped the ball. One time I was left waiting for my Dr. for over an hour only to be told that she wouldn't be able to see me! Today I had an appointment scheduled that I had scheduled back in June after my provider left. When I went in, I was told that my appointment has been cancelled and no one would be able to see me. What?! The receptionist told me that they had called me in June after I had scheduled to get me in sooner with another provider. In that voicemail they never indicated that they were going to cancel my appointment that was scheduled for today bc I had been scheduled with the wrong provider! If you're going to cancel an appointment, tell the patient that! Or better yet, schedule the patient with the correct provider in the first place. I'm livid and this is the last straw with this place. I'm going to be training for a new job next Monday and will be gone all day for the next 2 months so I will not have time to take time off work and possibly be told my appointment has been cancelled or be kept waiting all day. What a crock!

Can anyone explain why it takes 6+ freaking hours to get a little boy to his room at CHI Immanuel in Omaha, NE? And why the hell the nurses are rude to the parent of this child?! Never have I ever been disappointed to have myself or my family or friends receive care from a CHI entity, but these people are freaking awful! Either learn to be compassionate to those that seek your help or get the f*** out of the medical field! What is wrong with you people?! Also, just in case people don't know, the hospital director, the person in charge of the whole building, is in from 8am-4pm every weekday. Maybe if he gets enough complaints about how shitty the patients are treated he will do something about it!

I have been to CHI's specialty doctors at Bergan Mercy, a couple family physicians and their walk-in clinics. Staff is super friendly. My doctor even called to check on me to see if I got my prescription and if the medicine was working. I love that there are so many locations and a variety of services to choose from. HyVees often have CHI walk-in clinics that are affordable and available on weekends. They have been quite the lifesaver for me! They seem to be super organized with keeping track of medical records. They can always tell me what medication I'm currently taking no matter what location I am at. So far billing has gone very smooth for me. It's easy to pay your bill online. I have never experienced such great healthcare before!

Once again CHI drops the ball with their billings. A call was made to the Business Office at 402-717-4800 in Omaha, Nebraska and I was on hold for 20 minutes and magically the call dropped after 20 minutes being on hold. A message was left weeks ago, no return phone call from anyone. A private message was sent, no response. I guess it is time to call the BBB again to get CHI to respond in a timely fashion. What a shame people have to go through this with CHI to get a response. I have never had any issues with any other care provider like I have with CHI. What is really interesting is my checks are cashed but they can't post the payments on my billings.

Your bills are horrible and impossible to read. You don’t actually pay the amount in the “please pay this amount box”. It’s another random number on the statement. I paid the first bill using the please pay this amount because LOGIC would tell you that’s the final amount. If you do this, you’ll get a late notice. I called, spent 30 minutes on the phone with a lady who put me on hold to figure it out. If your employees can’t figure it out, how do you expect others to figure it out. The amount due wasn’t even on my radar from the statement. I’d like to encourage you to review how you send statements out and make sure the “please pay this amount” is correct. It might actually save you money. I bet you’d have a lot less 30+ minute phone calls, less notices to send out, less payments/checks to process and most importantly, happy/not irate customers because the correct amount would be paid the first time.

The doctors/nurses didn’t even tell me my diagnosis, I had to OVERHEAR it while they were giving report to the oncoming shift. I have a TERRIBLE fear of needles/anything medical & not SINGLE nurse had any empathy whatsoever. Kept telling me “oh, this isn’t the worst thing you will experience in your life” “come on you’re an adult” and my personal favorite “SERIOUSLY, this isn’t even that big of a deal come on, let’s go.” My mother, who has stayed here by my side the whole time asked a nurse if she could talk to the Dr again because she had another question & the nurse acted like it was SUCH AN INCONVENIENCE telling us “well I’m sorry, the doctor may have told you you need a procedure but that doesn’t mean you are getting it today, just because he said you need one doesn’t mean the OR has time in their schedule, you aren’t at the top of the list, there are more urgent patients who came in and need the OR rooms”. I’m sorry but I wasn’t asking to schedule a procedure, I was asking to talk to the DOCTOR. She kept interrupting us, and ended up causing a big scene telling us we are upset and need to calm down and she is leaving the room. Wouldn’t anyone who is in the hospital not feeling good or with their sick child be frustrated not knowing what’s going on or what they’re planning to do or why they’re doing what they’re doing? I will not be coming here in the future.

My significant other tried to get a disability letter. The front office people made him wait in town for hours even though he is sick and disabled. He went home upset but called back and they had let the doctor leave without signing. Others refused to sign it even though we needed it to get disability card for weekend. Monday the doctor called yelling at him (I could hear her) saying he had yelled at the office staff. He tried telling her he never raised his voice. She wouldn't listen. She said he needed an appointment for that. The staff never said that. Obviously they did not follow protocol and then lied about it to not get in trouble trying to put it on him. And why need an appointment? To charge the insurance more? We will not go back there unless they apologize.

After paying over $16,000 cash out of pocket for a surgery 6 years ago I was advised my after care for life by my doctor would be free of charge because I was a cash patient (that was when the dr was in private practice but the surgery was at immanual). I am now told anything else I need I need to pay for because the doctor now “works for CHI”. I was told today by CHI nurses to call a billing office of a private practice (that doesn’t exist anymore) to figure it out myself. Doesn’t seem very consumer friendly. Just appears money hungry. Don’t you think you should stand by the promise made to me and many other patients? Or is that just too much?

Worst place I have ever worked for. Pay is way less than everyone else and you have no job security. I was there 7 years and they were always broke. There's no job security and they closed all the urgent care in Lincoln and are thinking about doing the same thing to Omaha. They got rid of the pediatricians and recently just let go another head person in the last couple months. Run far from this place!

They charged outrageous prices for my hospital care when I had my son. I began making consistent payments when I started to receive statements in the mail. 3mo later I get a collection letter saying if I didn't pay the $11,000 I owed them, I'd be sent over. I called, they said they needed to set up a payment plan with me. So, they have to scare people who are paying, into paying?! I advised I was making $200 payments monthly. No, they needed $300 a month based on my outstanding balance. I offered them $600 that day, what was left in my HSA, and asked for a discount since I was paying 2mo of payments in advance. "I'm sorry ma'am. we can't give you any discounts. " I just had a baby, finances are tight, but I was paying. They just wanted more money. They were never willing to work with me. They are money hungry and take advantage of people. I will never use a facility connected to CHI ever again.

I was recently admitted to Lakeside CHI & found out I had stage 4 lung cancer, not what I expected to hear when going in. It was an emotional rollercoaster for my family & I. I have to say that every nurse, Dr etc that entered my room was absolutely amazing. I have never had such wonderful care anywhere. They were all so comforting & understanding with all my cares & needs. My nurses were young ladies Caitlyn, Rebecca, Jennifer & also Jenni. They were all just a God sent for me & my family!!

I'm so impressed with the care and the follow-through at CHI Health. My son suffered a sports injury on a Sunday afternoon. We went to the Midlands ER and got efficient care that was caring and compassionate (and didn't take all day). Then, the next morning before I could call his doctor for a followup, they were calling me to see how my son was doing. They got us in for an appointment BEFORE school so my son could be cleared before track season starts. Imagine that!

Olivia Woita, ARPN, was the nurse practitioner who attended my friend's daughter at CHI location near 42nd & L St. She was rude and unprofessional. Not helpful at all. English is not my friend's first language but she still has the right to quality service. Woita rushed the appointment. She wasn't attentive and did not take the initiative to make a diagnosis. Woita made to many unnecessary inquires that were not relative to the reason of appointment such as "where her daughter was born" is not relevant.

CHI FUCKING SUCKS! I have a payment plane in place and was told I had nothing else outstanding and everything was accounted for. This was 3 months ago. 2 weeks ago I get a bill for $98 for now “something else”. Then I go to make my monthly payment today to see an additional $141 payment now due. This is an outrage and I’m sick of CHI. They treat people like shit!
