Social worker Kristen is wonderful and cares about each patient. My son has easy access to phones where he can reach family. Unfortunately he's quiet and yet to speak to them so the Dr has decided he should be released. They allow patients to use phones but don't pay attention to their conversations. My son calls me saying all kinds of things. If a client won't speak to them in social or private settings, it is an obvious sign they prefer isolation have difficulty in social settings. My son thinks he's GOD and his caseworker put him in Haven because he told her in GRAPHIC calm detail how he wanted to harm someone and then kill himself. After being there a week, Haven thinks he's fine to go home. If harm comes to him after leaving, I plan to sue them. And GOD forbid he hurts someone else, I'm recommending that family sue as well.

Was in the facility for 3 days, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I never talked to anyone for the reason I was there, they started me on medicine and I went home. The nurses would laugh at patients. However, there was easy access to a phone whenever you wanted to make a phone call for however long you want and only a handful of nurses actually care about the patients and their job.

NEVER TAKE A LOVED ONE HERE! My mother-in-law was here for 24hrs (only, because that's how long it took to get her moved) but during her time there, she was given no attention at all. She asked for water a d never received it, there was patients walking around naked, one while I was visiting her, there was a Male patient hitting another and screaming and yelling and no one to help, one patient got in bed with her in the middle of the night, she had to get up and get a worker, the other woman was sedated in me mothers bed and she was told not to disturb her... all while the workers sat behind a desk on their cell phones! DO YOUR JOB AND HELP PEOPLE!!! never, ever again!

They treated my sister like garbage. Stripped her of her clothing when coming in, had the door wide open the whole time she was naked being examined. This door was WIDE OPEN and EVERYONE in the dining roon could see her sobbing there naked. They had no clothing for her since they took her clothing away so they gave her a paper gown 2 sizes too small. Labeled her a suicide risk even though she was very clear, as was I that she was there to have her medication sorted. While her insurance isnt covered there either she was told this is out of pocket and she could not be transferred somewhere else that does accept her insurance. Disgusting.

I would give a negitve if I could. This place is awful! I have seen someone brake their toe there, the staff lied to her about her xrays. When she got out she had to go to a bone specialist because of how badly broke it was! I was so sick and in so much pain ( I have chronic pain) then the nuse doug said buck up buttercup! When I was is so much pain I was crying so hard! They lie to you about when your getting out so you will flip out! The place is so dirty! The staff are the worse people I have ever met! I'm trying to get this place shut down!!!!!

My husband walked in of his own accord an has been sitting there doing nothing ever since. He has asked to come home but the Dr’s an social worker seems to have ignored his request. This place is awful, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The first physiatrists he saw has only been working there for 3 days! I’m really scared for my husband, this has been a terrible experience for both of us.

This place is a train wreck. There is little to no treatment but there is plenty of medication given to patients. From all perspectives they are doing little more than warehousing mental patients and medicating them to zombies. Trying to get information about a family member is next to impossible. If you are going to visit a patient, plan on being treated like a criminal. Staff wasn't friendly at all. I will be speaking to my insurance company about this and make sure that they aren't billed for services that weren't provided.

Definitely had a horrible experience here.. I went in for detox and rehab..the staff was awesome..but a few patients had extreme mental illness.. Being a nursing assistant for 20plus years I understand the struggles employees face on daily basis.. I worked with senior citizens but I also worked at DCH for number years that most residents had some kind of mental illness from extreme bipolar ,schizophrenia.ect... So I worked with people like I was patient with.. I was at this facility 5 days...2 patients in particular was very disruptive and took the employees time 23hours out of 24hours...this was everyday and staff did what they could but a lot of us felt neglected in our care because there was no time for us...this agitated several patients who if they would have gotten the attention they needed and deserves by staff wouldn't have been so agitated...I too became agitated and nervous do to these 2 patients.. I did not feel safe at all here..I was chased,cussed at.and had chairs or any item she could get her hands on thrown at me.. I said nothing to make this patient become agitated with me....it got so bad at one point staff had to get between me and this patient so she wouldn't hurt me... I was then given a new roommate who was agitated being there and not getting her meds she apparently was prescribed on outside before being admitted to haven.... She was !oud and constantly talking..so I requested to be moved which was done I problems...but for 2 days I couldn't be in any activity rooms ,dining room or even my own room without having to somewhere else do to 2 female residents being where I tried to go to read or watch t.v. Or even attend group...if the one female patient saw me she automatically started in cussing and telling at me which at times became very out of control... All the disruption made it very hard to focus on why I was there... I couldn't wait to be released which was not my goal.. I wanted to stay until I could get bed in rehab facility...I will never go back there...the staff is awesome...but the situation with patients with severe illness such as these 2particular patients is not safe for them either...I witnessed the one female patient become violent not only with other patients but staff as well...even threatened to kill them..something needs to be done so the hospital excellent staff doesn't quit do to the unsafe work environment..and patients request to not go there so to past expeeience..being a N.A. And working with several areas of nursing I was taught somethings that might help with patients.. T.V that patients are allowed to watch--- the one female patient became violent with me due to who I was sitting with..I'm the t.v.at that time was law and order and the show was about someone being raped..so this patient heard this and thought the gentleman I was sitting with was a rapist and pedofile..he was nwither..but what she saw and heard on t.v. made her believe he was..and because I say with him at meals and snacks I too became a nasty bitch..so t.v. Plays a big role in some behavior issues..I could list others but I don't care to continue on..I've been released and will never go back..and never recommend this place for anyone needing help or employi..changes need to be made before someone --being staff or patient gets hurt...I'm still in disbelief at my experience and only wish the best to the staff who did and do the best they can do..a staff member should never have to apologize for the situation that's causing other patients who went there to get wanted a and needed help they didn't get due to patients that demand constant attention from staff

Most people would have given up and relapsed but how I did not is a god honest (haunted treatment center might I mention), and the only staff that believed I did not use at the time was the woman who actually knew us girls there. Shoot, ya'll showered me and searched my things, then next thing I know after a LONG month and a half of being there..... which was only for my children.... place was full of spirits and too far from my babies... your staff lies and says "if you tell us who gave you the drugs we won't make you leave"... After telling them several times I ASKED them to take my urine for a suspected UTI and DID NOT USE.. Just for the man to reply saying "You're a drug addict, drug addicts think they are smart and can beat drug tests"... Me today would have knocked his teeth down his throat, He is lucky he had the broken, defeated version of me in front of him and I still wish I could knock his block off. Every day it was wake up, eat, group, meeting, tv time and then a cup FULL of random meds from a nurse and sleep... then repeat but I was USING. I found a oil on the floor in my room and thought it was an opiate for SURE and still gave it to them...I finally said "OK, you know what I will give you a name if that means I get to stay here. Just know, it's a LIE because nobody gave me drugs". And I meant it, every single word of it. At the time I was an addict who had just lost her best friend and was an hour from her babies.. not to mention had already committed a month and a half to this place and these people accused me of something so entirely unture and so unexpected it felt unreal. I wanted to scream, but instead of screaming I cried. A lot. To my couselor who said "Laura I believe you but there is nothing I can do". Needless to say, my honest remark pissed the guy in charge off, and he said I had to leave. I may have struggled with addiction prior to that, but I had already lost everything, what would I have had to lie about? What would I have gained? So I left and my childhood friend who drove an hour to pick me up did not speak to me the entire way, I ended up not see my children I had cried for every day because I missed them with my entire soul, but straight to netcare with the homeless, the suicidal, the mental and GO FIGURE the drug addicts (the ones who were still high). No I DID NOT GIVE UP, even after the countless accusations from people I loved and thought maybe would believe me but there was none of that trust left from my own doing prior to "Haven Behavioral Center" and losing my closest friend. So I balled my eyes out to the overnight therapist and the student shadowing him and they said not a word with shock and disbelief in their eyes and that was all I needed to make things a little bit better and I told them that. I thanked them for not accusing me of lieing or questioning me, straightened my crown and became the bad bitch I am today. But Haven "behavioral", ya'll can shove it for coming between my children and I and I am leaving this to warn others like me. And others like my family and the families with all the terrible reviews on glass door, indeed and yelp. I was astounded to see so much insurance fraud, BET that's what it was. but when you lie on someone's sobriety... THAT is evil and unforgiveable, and you will have to repent. May god save all ya'll for your sins and fix your broken cold hearts.
