Having just moved here two days ago, we did not know what to expect. I feel so blessed to live close to such an amazing hospital with service like I have never experienced. Absolutely love the pediatric doctors. She was amazing. The nurses were amazing. My 9 year old had to have blood drawn and she was so patient with her. Doctors were very thorough, which I like. I don’t like 10 minute appointments. If I have questions I want them answered and not to be rushed out the room.

Speaking from over 40 years experience, from the E.R. waiting times (even if you are truly having what constitutes an emergency, rather than something that COULD potentially wait until a weekday visit to your PCP, to the insane wait times when you ACTUALLY have an appointment with one of their staff physicians (more often than not a Nurse Practioner, cheaper to pay for them), and having to register as an OUTPATIENT and then wait for almost an hour to have your blood drawn, this is UNACCEPTABLE!’ Our time is money just like theirs!

My mom went in on Saturday due to vomiting a mixture of acid and blood for three days and was sent home and told she had a virus and to let it run it’s course. The nurse that to get her IV started was awful and rude. She went to an actual doctor yesterday, and after a simple CT, she was scheduled for emerygency surgery due to her stomach valve not working properly causing fluid/food to aspirate into her lungs. I suggest more well-trained doctors for this location, or perhaps people that care. 1

My husband was seen in the emergency department for a collapse at work. The rapid response team, Dr Harris, John Jarvis RN, and the rest of the staff were amazing. They answered questions, and discussed treatment options with us. The care couldn't have been better.

This is the absolute worst hospital I have ever been to! Treated me horrible, rude! Very unfriendly. It was bad enough that I had to be there Christmas morning, but to be treated so bad. I wouldn't go back there if I was dying!

Research Everything

Based on my experience with two members of my family - do not allow a Dr. with the last name "Singa..." (there is a Mr. and a Mrs.) to be in charge of your care or the care of any member of your family. Neither provided the care you would expect from a responsible Dr - and delayed the recovery of both family members (one to the level of needing surgery and the other resulting in a case of depression). I would avoid TRMC if it allows Drs of this caliber on staff.

I cannot even begin to describe how amazing the entire staff was when I had my daughter here in October. My fiance and I were extremely impressed with the way things were done in Labor and Delivery, and the postpartum wing. Our nurse Lacy, went above and beyond making sure they did everything they could do to prevent me from having a C-Section. AND they succeeded! We were constantly checked on, constantly asked if we were okay and if we needed anything. Dr. Slovak, and the nurses in the Labor and Delivery were just fantastic!

At 730 p.m. on Friday night wife had take my son to ER at Mt Pleasant Texas. He had high fever, chills, and was complaining he hurt. They didn't get seen till 9pm. They tried to stick an IV in my son at about 10pm before they even told my wife what they found out. After she said she wanted know what was wrong before they gave him anything they basically said we don't know and there's no specialist we can call. They thin let them sit there till 2am Saturday morning before putting them in a room after telling her he'd have stay over night for observation. There excuse for waiting so long "THEY FORGOT ABOUT HIM!" what they straight up told her. Not only that but his fever spiked at over 102 before they went to a room and they jyst basically shrugged there shoulders and said eh whatever and didn't give him anything. They pretty much decided play Russian Roulette with my son. Im not happy and will be telling all my family and friends to avoid the ER at Mt Pleasant hospital like plague.

My grandmother had to go to 3 different hospitals within 12 hours and this was hands down the BEST! The dr was extremely helpful and informative and the nurses and lab techs were outstanding! Thank y’all so much for actually CARING and showing COMPASSION with her and us!!

I've always used TRMC instead of Texarkana hospitals even tho it's further from home. Yesterday I brought my best friend into the ER. She is obviously having some kind of seizures, had 4 of them here, for the nurses and Dr's to see. They did a CT of her head, bloodwork and a UA. Told us that she would consult a neurologist over Tele-Med. She's in severe pain in her neck, back and shoulders. Whole body paralyzed, can't speak. She was refused anything for pain. SHE WAS SENT HOME WITHOUT SPEAKING TO THE NEUROLOGIST. The Tele-Med call failed and they never called back. Through 2 shifts of Drs and nurses, only one acted like she had any compassion for my friend, a young nurse named Kelly, was great, she kept apologizing for her co-workers rudeness and she did everything she could to make sure we were good. This ER definitely failed this time.

Who charges almost 8 grand for an e.r. visit. My husband went for the flu. Apparently because he was from out of town they decided to put him thru every possible test known to man thus costing us a fortune. Today I find out the hospital has no assistance programs of any kind to help with these bills! I wanna know what pays 8 grand for an E.R. visit? Who can afford that? Hands down the most expensive antibiotics I've ever had to pay for!

I have had two babies here and received care for 3 pregnancies through Titus regional. I've also taken my 2 year old to the ER with a head injury a few years ago(and she was admitted for a 24 hr watch period). We've received nothing but awesome care! Just wanting to share my experience for those of you reading any bad ratings, we've always been very happy with the staff at this hospital!!

The staff In the ER were very rude as usual. Also I went in with high blood pressure vomiting and a headache. The doctor came in asked 3 questions and was certain I had a tension headache. They didn’t run tests or anything (like usual) . And every time I get a bill for tests that they didn’t run .They sent me on my way and I made a trip to Longview regional where I learned my blood pressure was almost stroke level. Titus regional ER has been doing this to people for years and if we don’t speak up they will continue to get away with it.

I didn't have an experience at this place, but my husband did and I'd like to share. He was having some lab work done and the ladies that helped him figure things out and what all he needed to do were simply amazing from what he said. He couldn't express how polite and helpful they were, went on about it for two days. Who ever these women are, are amazing at their job and deserve raises! Lol

Did not have a good experience having my baby here. Labor and delivery nurses were awesome. Some of them in the maternity ward were ok. We didn’t have heat or hot water due to a gas line rupture. One nurse came and took my baby, and said they needed to keep him in the nursery so they could keep him warm. I agreed, the room was chilly. The next nurse on duty brought him back for me to feed him. When he was done, I called and said he was ready to go back. When she got to the room, she rolled her eyes at me, and told me I needed to learn how to take care of my own kid. Excuse me, what? I was made to understand he was supposed to go back? Then when I went out to get water, she was at the desk gossiping about me to her co workers. It was very upsetting, since my baby was having trouble and had to stay in for 5 days. We had no heat or hot water the whole time. I couldn’t shower or anything unless I ran home to do it. Every time I did, I was made to feel really guilty about it. I won’t use this hospital again. It’s completely worthless. Dr Slovak was ok, but I know there’s better out there. I’ll just drive further for better care for myself and my baby next time. Sad, my experience becoming a first time mother was ruined by people who think their job is a joke.

I called to talk to an employee and a lady by the name of Julie I believe answered the phone. (she said she was a supervisor) She was confused because she said there we're two people by that name that worked there. She ask what department she worked in. I told her I didn't know. So she ask if I knew her extension. I replied no. I was somewhat exasperated because I have had to call this employee periodically and had never had so much trouble...so the "supervisor" thinking I could not hear her said, "what a witch!" I hung up and called back and said this is the witch. She showed no signs of embarrassment. She just ask if she sent me to the wrong person. I'm stunned so I told her it wasn't important and hung up. And then called back and ask to talk to her supervisor and she said she was the supervisor! I suggested she apologize to me and especially if she was the supervisor. She said she was sorry she did not mean for me to hear her!

On Friday November 25, 2016, my family and I were in an automobile accident that could have killed us, but God protected us and we give Him all the glory. We were transported to the ER at Titus Medical Regional Center and there we received great care from the nurses and doctor. I'm so grateful to the staff there and highly recommend this hospital. We were there for almost 9 hours due to our family being a distance away, but in the meantime the ER staff provided our 3 boys with food. Just had my third child here Tuesday. The labor and delivery experience was not great, and one nurse in particular made the experience even more miserable. This was my third time getting an epidural, and it was more painful and miserable than the contractions beforehand. After the epidural (which was EXTREMELY painful!) the nurse did something wrong with the catheter, and the pain from the catheter with each contraction almost made me black out. When I told the nurse her response was "We'll yea, the catheter is gonna hurt." When I said the epidural wasn't working she said, "Well they don't completely numb you." My two previous epidurals worked just fine. When it came time to push she slapped my sisters hand away. She waited too long to take the catheter out. My son had already started descending through the birth canal. She had to cut the tube and deflate the catheter to get it out. My baby's heart rate dropped, and the rest of the staff were amazing. He was born healthy. When it came time to switch rooms, she sent my husband and sister out. The epidural was long gone, but instead of helping me out of bed gently, she grabs me by the arm and yanks me out of that bed and pushes me to the bathroom. Even after all this me or my family hadn't been rude towards her. She just acted like she had better things to do. The four stars (which would be 5 if it wasn't for Marsha in Labor and delivery) are for the AMAZING nurses, staff, and drs. Dana Shields delivered my baby. LOVE her! She knows her business! Dr. Miller has been our pediatrician. He's great. He's caught things with my children that other drs have missed more than once. And the nurses and staff in postpartum are absolutely WONDERFUL! Patricia treated my daughter during a hospital stay in December and she was one of my nurses also. She goes above and beyond to make you comfortable. And so caring and friendly. My daughter still talks about her. Jamie in the nursery was so compassionate and understanding when it came to my newborn. She seems like she LOVES her job and the patients she works with. Denise and Stacy are also wonderful nurses. I also had several other nurses that were great. Even the custodial that came in to clean the room was as sweet as she could be. My only recommendation is if you get a lady named Marsha (sp?) just save yourself the frustration and request a different nurse. My brother n law and his wife also had a miserable time with her. If a short lady comes in to give you your epidural, you may be screwed. Almost a week postpartum, and I'm more sore from the epidural and catheter than the labor and delivery. They are also not a pacifier friendly hospital, so take a pacifer if you want one.
